Modern Classic Sherwood Country Club Wedding | Molly + Chad

Molly + Chad booked me in early 2020 with plans for a late 2021 wedding. When the pandemic kept pressing on, they made the decision to push back their wedding day out of an abundance of caution, but they couldn’t WAIT to get married! They wed in a Santa Barbara Courthouse elopement with just their closest family present in July 2021.

On their one-year anniversary, they finally got to have their larger wedding celebration with everyone! Their venue, Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, was absolutely stunning, and we had wonderful weather (although slightly toasty) for the day.

A few days prior to the wedding, Molly connected me with the best man, Bob, as he had a very special surprise for the groom… a time machine to “get him to the church on time!” Bob had booked a couple of hours with a Delorean souped up as the Back to the Future time machine. His reasoning was that brides tend to get so much of the glory on wedding days, so he wanted his best friend to have something truly cool that was just for the groom (and groomsmen)! HOW COOL IS THAT!

The day continued on with a beautiful and heartfelt ceremony where the couple shared personal vows with each other, lots of fun with all their friends, drinking, dancing, and more. It was the perfect way to wrap up Molly + Chad’s wedding season, and I can’t wait to see what’s next in life for them.
