Korean + Chinese Los Angeles Wedding | Marcus + Hailey

Marcus and Hailey were an incredibly sweet couple to work with. Their wedding day was packed full of happenings, with I think 5 total outfit changes?? We started the morning with the Chinese tea ceremony honoring Marcus’ family, continued with a Western Catholic church ceremony for the actual marrying bit, then had a pyebaek during the reception honoring Hailey’s Korean family.

There was so much sentimental meaning behind everything on the wedding day. I’ll just paste what Hailey emailed to me after I delivered their sneak peek:

Dear Becca,

We just wanted to thank you SO much for such amazing photos!! The wedding day was so special and meaningful to us - the St. Basil’s church was where I’ve been going to for the past 12 years and it’s also where Marcus got baptized this year. The NBC seafood restaurant is where Marcus has often been to ever since he was a little child to celebrate his grandparents’ and his other family’s birthdays. It’s always been my dream to get married at this church, and it’s always been Marcus’ dream to do his wedding at the Chinese banquet, so we are just so happy that both of our dreams for our wedding came true.

And my goodness, even though both locations didn’t have the best lighting and weren’t so fancy, all the photos came out looking super gorgeous, elegant and beautiful!!!! I love how you captured so many authentic and sentimental moments. You are so talented in making any places look so elegant and meaningful, and in capturing authentic moments.

P.S. thank you for capturing the centerpieces and the table markers! For the table names, we used the names of the cities/countries Marcus has traveled to (he loves traveling!) and we used his photos in each place as the table marker. His sister made the centerpiece’s flowers based on the most representative flowers of each place. We loved how you captured the table photos so elegantly too!
