Malibu Mountains and Beach Engagement Session | Patricia + Ben

Malibu is always a great place for engagement sessions, and these locations are some of my tried-and-true! LA is so awesome that we can have both mountainscapes and beach scenes all in the same afternoon/evening!

Patricia and Ben’s engagement session started at Malibu Creek State Park. From there we headed to El Matador State Beach. It turned out to be a pretty overcast day (just a few days later we got THUNDERSTORMS in LA!), which has a huge benefit of being being to shoot my subjects from basically any direction because we don’t have to worry about the harsh sun in their eyes. Plus I just love the way that overcast light renders on film. Digital doesn’t even come close to comparing.

I had so much fun meeting these two and am so excited for them to soon be joining their lives!
