Malibu Beach Engagement Session | Lyly + Kyle

It took a long wait and multiple postponements to get to this point… but it was worth the wait.

Lyly and Kyle won an engagement session with me early in 2020 after I ran a giveaway on Instagram. Thanks to the pandemic, we had to reschedule several times and go through multiple different location ideas (some venues aren’t even issuing photography permits right now, so they were out of the question).

After months of back-and-forth, we finally got to do the session! We landed on shooting at the beach in Malibu. Initially Lyly and Kyle thought they wanted a gardeny venue, but then they realized they could get a better variety by doing engagement photos at the beach since they’re looking at having their wedding at a garden venue.

Nancy Lobo Design put together Lyly’s bouquet—AMAZINGLY, I might add. She incorporated Lyly’s favorite flowers, dahlias, so she was soooo excited to see it. I am so in love with Nancy’s bouquets (she also did the bouquets for Eva and Johnny’s engagement photos).
