Intimate Private Estate Pasadena Microwedding | Grace + Jason
“That was seriously the best wedding I’ve ever been to. I want mine to be JUST like it!”
Despite planning their wedding during a pandemic, Grace and Jason knew that they wouldn’t be postponing. No matter what. They were dead set on getting married as soon as they could! So when they had to dwindle their guest list to 40-50, they were okay with it. Then, just a month before the wedding, their venue fell through and told them they couldn’t honor the booking. Okay, that’s a pretty big wrench. BUT they then found a beautiful private estate in Pasadena. Although they whittled the guest list even further, they had a STUNNING backyard wedding surrounded by their absolute closest friends & family. The officiant's opening statement to the guests was, "Congratulations, you made the cut! You're the most important people in Grace and Jason's lives." I've never laughed throughout a ceremony so much.
All these changes turned out to work for the best, and their wedding day was nothing short of perfect. Immediately after the wedding, some of their friends were texting them saying things like, “That was seriously the best wedding I’ve ever been to. I want mine to be JUST like it!” I find that a lot of people don’t miss the party vibes of full dance receptions these days. It’s simply nice to be together on a beautiful and ceremonial day.
Grace found me last year thanks to a mutual friend, and we had such an amazing time at her and Jason’s engagement session at Kestrel Park in Santa Ynez. I had been looking forward to their wedding ever since then!! In the face of all the last-minute changes, it was an incredible day, complete with beautiful floral details, a beautiful welcome table, individual pre-packaged meals for the guests, a GORGEOUS February day, and tons of laughter (seriously, so much laughing).
